  Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments.  

EYE

  The dust may produce eye discomfort and abrasive eye inflammation.  

CHRONIC HEALTH EFFECTS

  There is some evidence that inhaling this product is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.  

  Principal routes of exposure are usually by skin contact and inhalation of generated dust.  Freshly moulded material may emit small amounts of formaldehyde which may  cause temporary irritation to the nose and throat and possibly induce as  asthma attack in asthmatics.  Formaldehyde vapour may cause temporary eye irritation or a burning  sensation.  Formaldehyde may cause allergic contact dermatitis in  sensitized individuals.
