Risk of serious damage to eyes.
The material can produce chemical burns within the oral cavity and gastrointestinal tract following ingestion. Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments.
The material can produce chemical burns to the eye following direct contact. Vapors or mists may be extremely irritating. If applied to the eyes, this material causes severe eye damage.
The material can produce chemical burns following direct contactwith the skin.
If inhaled, this material can irritate the throat andlungs of some persons. Not normally a hazard due to non-volatile nature of product.
There is some evidence that inhaling this product is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.
Principal route of exposure is usually by skin/eye contact. Skin contact may result in irritation and rash which may develop to dermatitis. The very bitter taste may give early warning of ingestion. Ingestion may result in mouth and throat burns, nausea and vomiting. Vomitus may be foamy. Aspiration of vomitus may cause chemical pneumonitis.
