Analgesic, anti- inflammatory and antipyretic for headache, pain, fever, acute or chronic
rheumatism. Not recommended where ulcers, bleeding disorders, kidney disease, asthma,
anticoagulant therapy, or sensitivity to salicylates is known.

Accidental ingestion of the material may be harmful; animal experiments indicate that ingestion of less than 150 gram may be fatal or may produce serious damage to the health of the individual. Not considered an irritant through normal use.
If applied to the eyes, this material causes severe eye damage. Not applicable.
This material can cause inflammation of the skin oncontact in some persons. Not applicable.
If inhaled, this material can irritate the throat andlungs of some persons. Not applicable.
There is some evidence that inhaling this product is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.
Principal route of exposure is usually by accidental ingestion. If swallowed, single dose toxicity is low to moderate. Large oral doses may cause mild burning pain in the mouth and stomach, nausea, vomiting, intense thirst, diarrhoea, dizziness, irritability, confusion, and in extreme, coma and death from respiratory failure. Response to poisoning varies widely; doses of aspirin between 10 and 30 grams have proved fatal in adults, but up to 130 grams have been ingested without fatal consequences. Repeated ingestion may cause tinnitus, abnormal bleeding (gastric or retinal), gastric ulcer, weight loss, mental deterioration, skin eruptions. May cause liver damage in susceptible individuals.
