General purpose neutral cure building and construction sealant. Non corroding to
galvanised steel, metals. Material cures / solidifies by reacting with atmospheric
moisture and this process generates irritating vapor. During curing small amounts of
irritant oxime vapours are evolved. Usually applied from a cartridge in a hand held
sealant gun. The cured solid material is inert and represents a low order of hazard.

Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments. Smoothing the sealant with saliva wet finger may introduce sealant into the mouth. Safer alternates should replace this poor work practice. Ingestion may result in nausea, abdominal irritation, pain and vomiting.

Principal routes of exposure are usually by skin contact with the material and inhalation of vapor from the curing material. The material presents some acute hazard whilst uncured and also during the curing process with its release of methyl ethyl ketoxime vapour. Exposure to concentrated vapours as may occur when used in a confined space will cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat and mucous membranes. As with any chemical product, contact with unprotected bare skin; inhalation of vapor, mist or dust in work place atmosphere; or ingestion in any form, should be avoided by observing good occupational work practice. Silica in this material is bound in a rubbery soft matrix and does notpresent an inhalation exposure hazard.
