Hair care product.
Irritating to eyes.
May cause SENSITIZATION by skin contact.
Highly flammable.
Toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long- term adverse effects in the aquatic
environment.
Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments. Ingestion may result in nausea, abdominal irritation, pain and vomiting.
This material can cause eye irritation and damage in some persons. The material may produce severe irritation to the eye causing pronounced inflammation. Repeated or prolonged exposure to irritants may produce conjunctivitis.
Not considered an irritant through normal use. Contact with cuts, abraded skin is painful, but this is transient. The liquid may produce skin discomfort following prolonged contact. Defatting and/or drying of the skin may lead to dermatitis.
Inhalation may produce health damage*. Not normally a hazard due to non-volatile nature of product. Acute effects from inhalation of high vapor concentrations may be chest and nasal irritation with coughing, sneezing, headache and even nausea.
Principal routes of exposure are by accidental skin and eye contact and by inhalation of vapors especially at higher temperatures. Skin contact with the material is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population. Sensitization may result in allergic dermatitis responses includingrash, itching, hives or swelling of extremities. Sensitization may give severe responses to very low levels of exposure, i.e. hypersensitivity. Sensitized persons should not be allowed to work in situations where exposure may occur. Ingestion may result in intoxication and drunkenness. In chronic form this may result in alcoholism, liver damage.
