"epoxy resin hardener curing agent modified aliphatic polyamine amine adduct"
Causes burns.
Risk of serious damage to eyes.
May cause SENSITIZATION by skin contact.
The material can produce chemical burns within the oral cavity and gastrointestinal tract following ingestion. Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments. Ingestion may result in nausea, abdominal irritation, pain and vomiting.
The material can produce chemical burns to the eye following direct contact. Vapors or mists may be extremely irritating. If applied to the eyes, this material causes severe eye damage.
The material can produce chemical burns following direct contactwith the skin. Amine adducts have much reduced volatility and are less irritating to the skin and eyes than amine hardeners. However commercial amine adducts may contain a percentage of unreacted amine and all unnecessary contact should be avoided. Sensitization may result in allergic dermatitis responses includingrash, itching, hives or swelling of extremities. Sensitization reactions may appear suddenly after repeatedsymptom free exposures. Bare unprotected skin should not be exposed to this material. The material may accentuate any pre-existing skin condition.
If inhaled, this material can irritate the throat andlungs of some persons. Not normally a hazard due to non-volatile nature of product. Inhalation of vapor is more likely at higher than normal temperatures. Inhalation of vapor may result in nausea, headache.
Skin contact with the material is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.
Principal routes of exposure are usually by skin contact/eye contact with the material. Sensitization reactions may appear suddenly after repeatedsymptom free exposures. Prolonged or continuous skin contact with the liquid may cause defatting with drying, cracking, irritation and dermatitis following. As with any chemical product, contact with unprotected bare skin; inhalation of vapor, mist or dust in work place atmosphere; or ingestion in any form, should be avoided by observing good occupational work practice.
