Not normally a risk due to low vapor pressure at ambient temperatures. Inhalation hazard is increased at higher temperatures. Inhalation of vapor may result in nausea, headache. Inhalation of vapor may aggravate a pre-existing respiratory condition such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema. Silica in this material is bound in a rubbery soft matrix and does notpresent an inhalation exposure hazard.
There is some evidence that inhaling this product is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.
Oil may contact the skin or be inhaled. Extended exposure can lead to eczema, inflammation of hair follicles, pigmentation of the face and warts on the soles of the feet. There are few systemic effects, but prolonged exposure may lead to a higher incidence of lung scarring.
